Choosing the right course
UK English Courses offer both residential and non-residential summer programmes. You can stay in boarding school accommodation (in dorms or single rooms) or with a host family (on your own or with a friend). Some of the accommodation is en-suite. Our young learner courses are for those aged between 8 and 17 and our young adult courses are for those aged between 17 and 23. We also run English language day courses for students aged 5-20+ in London. All centres combine learning English with an activity programme. Excursions to London and places of interest are also included. Students are occupied morning, afternoon and evening. Some of our centres prepare students for the Trinity College Graded Examinations in Spoken English grades 1-8 (beginners to upper intermediate). Other centres, in addition to teaching English, offer specialist sports coaching in football or dance, for example. Additional subjects such as film-making, practical science, Creative Writing and Web Design are also available at certain centres. There is a comprehensive list of exactly what is available at each centre below. You can combine studying English at different centres or even combine residential stays with home stays. You must remember to look at the dates, however. Our courses run from July to August, but you must arrive on the specific dates listed on the relevant pages. Courses are generally from 2 to 4 weeks. Longer stays are also possible. If in doubt, you can contact us either by e-mail or phone and we will be happy to help you choose the course that is right for you.
